The category

Foam is not a cosmetic problem. It is a throughput problem.

Foam in the mixing tank hides the true volume, foam at the filler causes short fills and rejects, and foam during CIP and pasteurisation slows the whole line. Most plants respond by slowing the filler, which quietly costs more than the additive ever would.

A correctly specified antifoam kills foam at the point it forms, at parts-per-million dosage, without clouding the product, altering the flavour or interfering with carbonation.

What we supply

Where it earns its place

01

At the filler

Accurate fill levels at full line speed, fewer rejects and less give-away volume.

02

In the mixing tank

Reliable volume readings and faster dissolution when powders and proteins are added.

03

Through pasteurisation

Foam control under heat, where surface foam causes fouling and uneven treatment.

04

During CIP

Reduced foam in cleaning cycles, so rinse times and water use come down.

Applications

Typical applications

Grade and dosage depend on the base — protein and saponin-containing systems need more.

Carbonated soft drinks

Fill-level control at high line speed.

Juice and nectar

Pulp and pectin foam during mixing and fill.

Protein and dairy RTD

High-foaming protein systems in the tank.

Tea and botanical

Saponin-driven foam in extracts and infusions.

Fermented drinks

Foam during fermentation and transfer.

CIP and process water

Cleaning-cycle foam reduction.

Technical notes

What we specify with it

01

Effective dosage

Determined on your base and equipment, not assumed — over-dosing is the usual mistake.

02

Clarity and taste

Confirmed neutral in your product: no haze, no film, no off-note at working dosage.

03

Carbonation compatibility

Checked so foam control does not flatten the drink or affect CO2 retention.

04

Regulatory status

Food-grade status and permitted-use confirmation for your target markets.

Common questions

Food grade antifoam — asked and answered

Will antifoam affect the taste of my drink?

Not at correct dosage. We confirm neutrality in your actual product before specifying, and over-dosing is the usual cause when people report a problem.

How much do I need?

Typically parts per million. The exact figure depends on your base, temperature and line speed, so we establish it on your product.

Is it compatible with carbonated products?

Yes, when the right grade is chosen. We check CO2 retention as part of the specification.

Losing line speed to foam?

Send us the brief — target profile, declaration, process and volume — and a flavourist will come back with questions or samples.
